B & T Coins and Militaria
I was driving through Jacksonville, Florida and I found this great shop. B&T Coins & Militaria is the kind of place that makes me love the coin business. When the term small business was coined, no pun intended, they were talking about companies like this. Run by the owner/operator, BJ and his Daughter, he some good coins, but even better militaria. Stop on in if you in the neighborhood and take a look at the fascinating items he has on display.
Coins for Anything
I did a post on Challenge Coins a ways back and received a comment asking where one could have these kinds of coins made. While searching the inter-web I came across a company that can do just that, Coins for Anything Inc. is your go to place to get that special coin made for any occasion. They strive for complete customer satisfaction, and will do a digital image of your coin for free. I hope to have a few coins of my own made one of these days, after all this is The|Coinologist.
2005 Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Uncirculated Silver Dollar
I can’t believe it has been five years since this coins has been released. I was so excited when it came out because of the honor it bestowed on our Marines. According to the U.S. Mint Press Release: “The United States honored a branch of the military for the first time with a commemorative coin, the Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Silver Dollar.” Mintage maximum is 600,000 coins, which was increased by legislation from 500,000, another first! Minted at the U.S. Mint Facility at Philadelphia, these coins are sure to become treasures to the men and women that have served our country, their families, and numismatists alike.
