Inwood Security Vaults

with 2 comments

Those of you in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with the need for some safe and private storage, have I found the place for you.  Inwood Security Vaults was established in 1981 and has no bank affiliation, which means you receive complete anonymity. They have a garage that is large enough for a truck and provides complete privacy. Inwood Village offers security service 24/7. All of their storage areas are atmospherically controlled.  They are very close Love Field, which is a plus for anyone who needs quick access when flying in.  Check out other Coinologist Depository posts here.

Solid As A Rock | Diamond State Depository

with one comment

Depositories like Diamond State are few and far between.  While precious metal values continue to grow.   I would have to say these unique facilities are become most important.  Anyone can buy a safe, but just as professional dealers have to be more cautious in today’s market, the collector and investor must be even more careful.  Holding hard assets has to be done with care and strategy.  Having a safe in your house is not always the best option.  Be sure to do your homework and find the best way to protect your treasures!

Colorado Vault & Safe Deposit Box Company

leave a comment »

The Colorado Vault & Safe Deposit Box Company is located south of Denver in Centennial, Colorado.  I love when I come across depositories, which are few and far between, because they provide a great service for collectors and the general public alike.  This facility was built from the ground up and the vault looks to be state of the art.  Founded by three retired bankers, their experience showed them there is a demand for this type of business.  Check out their facebook page and you can actually see pictures of the vault being built.  Being conceived by bankers, I’m sure you can feel rest assured your valuables and important documents will be quite safe.  Next time I am in Denver I plan to stop by and check out this great facility.

24/7 Private Vaults-Las Vegas, NV

with 2 comments

Unlike Ted Binion, who was able to build a vault in the middle of the desert to store all his silver, not everyone has that option.  24/7 Private Vaults in Las Vegas, NV is a place you can access your valuables 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Like most depositories, this one is geared toward your privacy.  The claim to fame for this fortress is their Iris-Scanning Technology, which requires no ID, and 24 hour live security.  While in Sin City, you never know if you need to get your hands on some of your cash, or stash your winnings.  I have been to this facility, it is close to the airport and not far from the casinos.  If you are in Vegas and have the need for a depository, this is the place to go.

Los Altos Vault and Safe Co.-Los Altos, CA

with one comment

Tucked away in the west hills of Silicon Valley is the nice little town of Los Altos, CA.  A community that’s downtown can take you back to yesteryear, when the valley was full of orchards and not tech firms.  Within this small town I came across the Los Altos Vault and Safe Company.  I went in for a visit and have to say this place if first class.  You feel the old-time charm of a bank on one side, and a fully stocked bar on the other.  They pride themselves on privacy.  Everything is done the old-fashioned way, they don’t have a computer in the building.   They also have a fully secure, “drive in” receiving area as an extra precaution, keeping your treasures safe and sound throughout  the whole process.  I really like this establishment, I’m sure with all the dot-com millionaires made in these past years, there is sure to be some nice treasure safely set away in the vault.

Diamond State Depository-New Castle, DE

with one comment

With the bullion craze in full swing, depositories are a good option for the person who is stocking up on precious metals. The fun of having your own personal safe in your home, and stuffing in full of gold and silver, can get a little scary with today’s prices.  I’ve seen a few different depositories in my travels, and always enjoy stopping by and seeing their facilities.  I first came across Diamond State Depository in one of their ads in Coin World.  Then I ran into them at the F.U.N. Show in Tampa.  I fully understand the concept of security in a depository, but one of Diamond State’s advantages is that Delaware has an abundance of tax advantages.  I urge anyone who has large amounts of bullion to educate themselves on this possible option for storage.  The higher these precious metals rise, so does the interest of the people with bad intentions.
