Antique National Cash Register Model #4155

with 2 comments

I found this antique National Cash Register, now know as NCR, a company that was founded in 1884.  It is claimed to be from the 1930’s, used in a  family barber shop, model #4155.  It’s build the American way at 51 pounds, and has been in the family since new.  The keys are included and appears to be in great condition.  If you think about numismatics and the cash register, they sure are one in the same.  This would be a treasure for anyone who loves this kind of collectible, and for fans of  The Office, it’s not too far from Scranton, PA.

  2. My father had the same one and yes, he was a barber. I am trying to refurbish the unit as it is jammed. Intricate machinery and fascinating engineering.
