Hobo Nickels

with one comment

I had the opportunity to sit a spell with Mike Pezak a few months ago while he made a silver bezel for the cross I wear around my neck.  Twisting, soldering, and polishing silver, he created this great addition to my neck-piece, mind you, right in-front of my eyes.  He is a wise man with many a story.  He is one of the Hobo Nickel masters.  He informed me about the Original Hobo Nickel Society,  and showed me some of his first pieces of his new Engraving Art.  Through out the conversation I came to understand the new and the old about this form of unique engraving, and the various people who represent both parts.  From the outsiders point of view I like them both, each having their own special attributes.  I enjoyed the time I spent with Mr. Pezak and hope to catch up with again one day.
