Safe Find-Antique Mosler Safe

I definitely see a pattern forming here.  I found this Mosler Safe on Craigslist, and discovered it was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1867.  While researching these safes, I have found that many safe companies were founded in this Ohio city.  Then they seem to relocate once established.  Maybe land and labor was less expensive in these smaller towns, once expansion was imminent.  The Mosler Safe Company was in business until 2001, until it unfortunately succumbed to bankruptcy.  This particular safe has seen better days, the combination lock has been dismantled and the back wall has been cut with a torch.  The current owner is a cups half full kind of person, stating the safe is a great conversation piece and all the parts are there for a full restoration.  Know matter what, it’s a great antique and a piece of our manufacturing history.
