United States Mint at San Francisco, California

This branch is responsible for minting the regular and silver proof coins sold to collectors.  As of 2011 this branch is also minting the American Silver Eagle bullion coin due to the increase in the demand of silver.

  1. I have a 1921 wheat cent with a strange dot and partially encompassing half circle that curve back and resembles an S in the center if reverse side. Possible to me from pressure test or mint stamped on wrong side? Don’t know how to post photo pin here.
