2008 Bald Eagle Proof Silver Dollar

The 2008 Bald Eagle Proof Silver Dollar will have a maximum mintage of 500,000 coins.  This will include both proof and uncirculated versions.  It will be minted at the Philadelphia Mint in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  It was brought into existence by Public Law: 108-486.

Sculptor: Don Everhart
Description: A mature bald eagle soaring in flight.

Reverse:
Sculptor: Jim Licaretz
Description: The Great Seal from 1782-1841.
