The United States Mint today successfully launched its 2015 Coin and Chronicles Set—John F. Kennedy.
The Mint sold 25,000 sets via its website in the first 10 minutes of sales which began at 12 noon, Eastern Time. All of the Mint’s systems performed as expected. After the first hour, sales totaled over 40,000 units. The Mint will begin shipping the first 25,000 sets from its fulfillment center immediately and anticipates all customer orders will be fulfilled by early October. 2015 Coin & Chronicles Set – John F. Kennedy
This limited-edition Coin and Chronicles set – only 50,000 will be produced – honors President John F. Kennedy, who served as our 35th President from 1961 – 1963. The United States Mint Coin and Chronicles Set honoring Kennedy features one reverse proof finish 2015 John F. Kennedy Presidential $1 Coin with a “P” mint mark – this coin is only available in this set, one John F. Kennedy Presidential Medal struck in .999 fine silver, one U.S. postage stamp issued in 1964 to pay tribute to President Kennedy and an information booklet including images from his life and presidency.
