Super Bowl XLVII Coin Toss

The Super Bowl XLVII coin toss will be made with a specially minted coin, which is then sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for display, other coins of the special series minted at the same time are sold to collectors. You can find NFL/Super Bowl coins all over the internet, but if you must have one, I would buy it right from The Official NFL Shop. Keep in mind these coins are fun to own, but will have little, if any investment value. Read on to see the heads or tails history of the Super Bowl coin toss.

Historic Photos | U.S. Mint New Orleans 1963

Flash forward a few years from the previous New Orleans Mint photos and we find ourselves at 400 Esplanade St. New Orleans, LA in the year 1963. This is just a couple of years before ownership of the mint was transferred to the state of Louisiana. I love the tail fins of the American automobile in all their glory.
