The last LNVS meeting of the year will be this Saturday, November 14th. The 5th Annual Turkey Race will be taking place and we are having a special raffle featuring a 1914-D $2.50 Gold Indian Coin. Raffles, door-prizes, special refreshments, coin supplies, presentations and lots of fun. My Nephew and I won a great prize last meeting, just one of many! The doors open at 2pm for our bourse and social hour. Dealers in good standing with the club are available to buy, sell, or trade coins, precious metals, and collectibles. The meeting starts at 3pm, everyone is welcome! Come spend a couple of hours with us and bring the Kids! FREE ADMISSION and plenty of parking. The United States Mint today successfully launched its 2015 Coin and Chronicles Set—John F. Kennedy.
The Mint sold 25,000 sets via its website in the first 10 minutes of sales which began at 12 noon, Eastern Time. All of the Mint’s systems performed as expected. After the first hour, sales totaled over 40,000 units. The Mint will begin shipping the first 25,000 sets from its fulfillment center immediately and anticipates all customer orders will be fulfilled by early October.
