Safe Find | Austrian Key Safe

Bureau of Engraving and Printing Announces Year-End Shutdown Schedule

The Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP) facilities located in Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas will close its operations from December 24, 2011 through January 2, 2012.
On Friday, December 23, the BEP’s Washington, D.C. Tour and Visitor Center will close its doors to the public at 3:00 p.m. (EST), while the Fort Worth, Texas Tour and Visitor Center will close its doors to the public at 12:00 p.m. (CST), as an efficiency measure.
The mail order sales program and the receipt of correspondence will also be suspended during this time. Both facilities will re-open to the public on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
The BEP offers a wide array of unique gift items, to include uncut sheets of currency, souvenir cards, vignettes, and presidential portraits. To meet your holiday needs, please be sure to do your currency gift shopping early. BEP products can be ordered online at www.moneyfactory.gov or by calling 1(800) 456-3408. You may also visit the Visitor Centers located in Washington, D.C. at 14th & C Streets, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228 or in Fort Worth, Texas at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76131. Please note that both Visitor Centers and the toll-free mail order sales telephone line are suspended during the shut down period.

Santa Clara Coin Stamp & Collectibles Expo | November 2011

If your on the West coast this weekend the Santa Clara Coin Stamp & Collectibles Expo is the place to be. The show is held at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The Expo opened to dealers on Thursday and to the public on Friday. General admission is $6, but make sure to check out their website for a $2 off coupon. PCGS will be there to grade coins on sight. I posted the show hours and schedule so don’t miss out! This show has been a staple in the industry and a must go if you’re in the area.
