Second Party Grading Launches New Website

with 3 comments

Second Party Grading has updated their website recently.  I originally met Mike Ellis at the F.U.N. show back in January.  Mike started this company to be your “Second Opinion” on coins you may have that are already graded, or for a pre-screening of raw coins before you send them in to a third-party grader.  Anyone who has a real interest in the numismatic world, knows that coin grading is an art and not a science, thus is has changed throughout the years.  This being the case, for better or for worse, we have companies like SPG and CAC to be the consumer watchdogs.

  1. Hi…..I have been collecting “error” coins and have a lot of them, most are very interesting but I don’t know what to do with all of these. I only started to do this to make money from them and I got carried away with looking through every coin I obtained (from change), saving only what seemed to be rare or with error’s that might be what collector’s would want additionally. How do I go about finding out what their worth and selling for profit?…..Other than E-Bay. Could you please let me know what I could do?
    Thank you,

    • Hi Donna,

Thank you for your comment. Error coins are a niche and finding the buyer can be difficult. There are dealers that specialize in error coins. I always recommend finding a local coin dealer and building a relationship. Once trust is established they can help guide you.
