LeFebure Depository Safe

I found this safe at the GSR in Reno. Being in a casino, this safe could have seen some serious action, or been a boring document safe. It sits at the end of a hall, though shows some signs of heavy wear. I tried to do a little research on this safe and didn’t come up with much, LeFebure does not have a North American Distributorship any longer, in fact the nearest dealer is in South America. However I did find this neat link for any of you looking to get into the lock picking business.

Love your safe. I’m getting one just like it, I believe.
Is your’s dimensions about: Height 37″ X Width 19 3/4″ X Depth 19 3/4″?
Any idea how much your’s weighs?
Thank you.

You have a Lefurbre Night Depository, Banks use it for a business to drop thier business deposits in. It is a 312 number unit. Lefurbre went bankrupt late 1990′s or early 2000, Mosler Securities aquired the assests and closed them self arround 2002 to 2003. Diebold picked up the pieces. Diebold does service this product, but parts are becoming limited.
