Gold started below $700 an ounce yesterday, but made a decent recovery, ending up just under $720 an ounce.

Gold Back At $800 An Ounce

2008 Bald Eagle Uncirculated Silver Dollar

The 2008 Bald Eagle Uncirculated Silver Dollar will have a maximum mintage of 500,000 coins.  This will include both proof and uncirculated versions.  It will be minted at the Philadelphia Mint in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  It was brought into existence by Public Law: 108-486.

Obverse:
Designer: Joel Iskowitz
Sculptor: Don Everhart
Description: A mature bald eagle soaring in flight.

Reverse:
Sculptor: Jim Licaretz
Description: The Great Seal from 1782-1841.
